Hipertensi merupakan faktor risiko penyebab penyakit jantung, stroke, gagal ginjal, penyakit pembuluh darah perifer dan kematian. Sementara itu, pasien geriatri lebih dominan berisiko terkena penyakit hipertensi, karena adanya keterkaitan antara bertambahnya usia terhadap tekanan darah tinggi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi penggunaan obat hipertensi pada pasien geriatri di Instalasi Rawat Inap RSUD Dr. M.M Dunda Limboto. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan rancangan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data secara retrospektif melalui catatan rekam medik pasien periode Januari-Juni 2022. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 64 sampel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi periode januari ���" juni 2022. Analisis data berdasarkan DEPKES 2006, Evidence-Based Guideline for the Management of High Blood Pressure in Adults Report From the Panel Members Appointed to the Eighth Joint National Committee (JNC VII). Hasil penelitian evaluasi penggunaan obat antihipertensi pada pasien geriatri dengan hipertensi di Instalasi Rawat Inap RSUD Dr. M.M Dunda Limboto diperoleh 64 pasien menunjukkan tepat obat sebesar 69%, tepat dosis sebesar 100%, dan tepat frekuensi sebesar 100%.

Hypertension is a risk factor for heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, peripheral vascular disease, and death. Meanwhile, because of the links between increasing age and high blood pressure, geriatric patients are at a higher risk of developing hypertension. This research aims to evaluate the use of hypertension drugs in geriatric patients at the RSUD (Regional Public Hospital) Dr. M.M Dunda Limboto. This research employs observational research with a descriptive design. The data were retrospectively collected through patient medical records from January to June 2022. The research subjects are 64 samples that met the inclusion criteria from January to June 2022. Data analysis based on DEPKES 2006, Evidence-Based Guideline for the Management of High Blood Pressure in Adults: Report From the Panel Members Appointed to the Eighth Joint National Committee (JNC VII). The evaluation results of the use of antihypertensive drugs in geriatric patients with hypertension at the inpatient installation of RSUD (Regional Public Hospital) Dr. M.M Dunda Limboto found that 64 patients indicated 69% right medication, 100% right dose, and 100% right frequency.
