Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah "kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam melakukan tenik dasar pukulan forehand push siswa kelas XI MIX5 SMA Negeri 1 Kabila. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan Kemapuan dasar pukulan forehand push pada permainan tenis meja melalui metode Problem Solving pada siswa kelas XI MIX5 SMA Negeri 1 Kabila. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah metode Problem Solving yang dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Kabila kelas XI MIX5 yang berjumlah 24 orang siswa yang terdiridari 12 orang laki-laki dan 12 orang perempuan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, setiap siklus ada tiga kali tindakan dan satu kali evaluasi.Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu melalui tes untuk kerja siswa dalam melakukan Kemapuann dasar pukulan forehand push. Hasil penelitian terbukti naik signifikan setelah diterapkan metode Problem Solving dalam proses pembelajaran, hal ini terbukti dengan naiknya nilai rata-rata siswa dimana pada observasi awal 51,99 kemudian pada siklus I meningkat 10,15 menjadi 62,14 dan siklus II meningkat 18,92 menjadi 81,06, dengan demikian maka penelitian dianggap selesai karena telah mencapai indicator kinerja yaitu sebesar 80%.
Melalui penerapan metode Problem Solving dapat meneingkatkan Kemapuann dasar pukulan forehand push, hal ini sesuai dengan hipotesis tindakan yang menyatakan "jika menggunakan metode Problem Solving maka Kemapuann dasar pukulan forehand push pada siswa kelas XI MIX5 SMA Negeri 1 Kabila akan meningkat, atau dapat diterima.

Abstract
The problem in this research is the "lack of ability of the students in performing basic tenik forehand push MIX5 class XI student of SMAN 1 Kabila. The purpose of this study to improve The ability of the basic forehand push the game of table tennis through Problem Solving method in class XI student of SMAN 1 MIX5 Kabila ". The learning method used in the study of this class action is a method implemented in Problem Solving SMA Negeri 1 Kabila class XI MIX5 consisting 24 students Consist Of 12 men and 12 women. This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle there are three acts and one evaluasi.Teknik collecting data in this research is through the test to the student's work in performing basic Kemapuann forehand push. Results of the study showed a significant increase after the applied method of problem solving in the learning process, it is proved by the increase in the average value of students where the initial observation 51.99 then the first cycle increased 62.14 and 10.15 into the second cycle increased 18.92 be 81.06, so the study is finished because it has reached an indicator of performance that is equal to 80%. Through the application of methods of problem solving can meneingkatkan Kemapuann basic forehand push, it is consistent with the hypothesis of action which states "when using the method of Problem Solving then Kemapuann basic forehand push in class XI MIX5 SMA Negeri 1 Kabila will increase, or unacceptable".
