Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 1 Bulango Utara masih dibawah tingkat ketuntasan belajar. Hasil belajar siswa pada materi bola voli tahun 2011/2012 menunjukan bahwa 68% dari jumlah siswa kelas VIII B mempeoleh nilai kurang dari 70. Hal ini di buktikan dengan informasi yang dapat di dapatkan dari guru mata pelajaran penjas Orkes dimna hanya 32% dari jumlah siswa yang mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar.
Adapun yang menjadi tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran tipe stad terhadap keterampilan passing bawah pada permainan bola voli siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 1 Bulango Utara. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini adalah "terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran tipe stad terhadap keterampilan passing bawah pada permainan bola siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 1 Bulango Utara langkah awal untuk pengujian hipotesis dalah melakukan uji homogenitas varians terhadap hasil pree test dan post test.
Setelah itu pengujian hipotesis dengan mengunakan uji t. Dari distribusi diperoleh harga hasil pengujian hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan harga thitung sebesar 0,4837 Sedangkan dari tdaftar atau t = 0,200 Ternyata harga thitungtelah berada di dalam daerah penerimaan H1. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa H1 diterima dan tidak dapat menerima Ho. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran tipe stad dapat meningkatkan kemampuan passing bawah pada bola voli siswa kelas VIII b SMP Negeri 1 Bulango Utara.

The problem in this study is that most of the students of grade VIII B SMP Negeri 1 Bulango Utara are still below the level of learning mastery. Students' learning outcomes on volleyball material in 2011/2012 show that 68% of the students in grade VIII B score less than 70. This is proven by information that can be obtained from the orchestra teacher of dimes only 32% of the students which reached the level of mastery learning.
The purpose of this research is to know the influence of stad type learning model to lower passing skill in student volleyball game of class VIII B SMP Negeri 1 Bulango Utara. Hypothesis in this research is "there is influence of stad type learning model to lower passing skill at game ball student of class VIII B SMP Negeri 1 Bulango Utara initial step for hypothesis testing dalah do homogeneity test of variance to result of pree test and post test.
After that hypothesis testing by using t test. From the distribution obtained the price of test results of pre-test and post-test shows tcount price of 0.4837 While from the register or t = 0.200 It turns thitungtelah price is within the acceptance area H1. Thus it can be concluded that H1 is accepted and can not accept Ho. So it can be concluded that the stad type learning model can improve the ability of passing down on student volleyball of class VIII b SMP Negeri 1 Bulango Utara.
