ANGREINY HUSAIN “ Hubungan Karakteristik Ibu Menyusi dengan Pemberian ASI Eksklusif di Kelurahan Biawu, Kecamatan Kota Selatan Kota Gorontalo. Skripsi. Pemberian ASI Eksklusif merupakan salah satu upaya untuk memperoleh daya tahan tubuh bayi yang baik serta pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bayi secara optimal. Pemberian ASI secara eksklusif diberikan pada bayi tanpa makanan tambahan apa pun sampai bayi berusia 6 bulan.
Desain penelitian yang di gunakan adalah Cross sectional.Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 40 ibu yang memiliki bayi berumur 6-12 bulan. Sampel dalam penelitian sebanyak 40 ibu yang memiliki bayi berumur 6-12 bulan.
Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa hanya sebanyak 16 orang (40,0%) ibu menyusui yang memberikan ASI eksklusif. Setelah dilakukan uji analisa statistic dengan menggunakan Chi Square diketahui bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara Karakteristik ibu menyusui ditinjau dari umur (p=0,693) pendidikan (p= 0,581) pekerjaan (p= 0,433) pendapatan (p= 0,792) dan paritas (p= 0,215) dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif. Ada hubungan antara dukungan suami dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif dengan nilai (p= 0,028)
Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah “ Ada hubungan antara karakteristik ibu menyusui ditinjau dari dukungan suami dengan pemberian ASI Eksklusif.
Tidak ada hubungan antara karakteristik ibu menyusui ditinjau dari umur, pendidikan, pekerjaan, pendapatan, paritas dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif
Dari hasil penelitian ini, diharapkan dapat bermanfaat bagi ibu menyusui, peneliti dan petugas kesehatan agar dapat meningkatkan program konseling dan penyuluhan tentang pentingnya pemberian ASI eksklusif serta memberikan motivasi kepada ibu menyusui dalam pelaksanaannya.

The giving of ASI exclusive is one of the efforts for the baby to have a better body vitality along with optimalizing its growing and development. The giving of ASI exclusive to baby is given without any supplementary food until the baby is 6 months old.
Cross sectional research design is used which emphasized on the measurement time or data observation of independent and dependent variable rated for only once. The population of the research is the mothers to 6-12 months baby. The sampling technique of this research is sampling saturation. The technique of data analysis used are univariat analysis and bivariat analysis using Chi Square test. The data is computerized with SPSS program version 17.0 and presented in tables and narrated.
The result of the research suggest that only about 16 people (40%) that give ASI exclusive. After the chi square analysis test is conducted, the result shows no correlation among the characteristic of breastfeeding mothers in terms of age (p= 0,693) education (p= 0,581) occupation (p= 0,433) income (p= 0,792) and parity (p= 0, 215) toward the giving of ASI exclusive. The is a correlation between support from husband toward the giving of ASI exclusive with the number (p= 0,028).
This research concluded that “there is a correlation between the characteristic of breastfeeding mothers in terms of husband support toward the giving of ASI exclusive”. There is no correlation of the characteristic of breastfeeding mothers toward age, education, occupation, income, and parity toward the giving of ASI exclusive.
The result of this research is hoped to be beneficial for breastfeeding mothers, the researcher, and health officers to improve counseling program about the importance of giving ASI exclusive and to motivate the breastfeeding mothers.
