Abstrak

Nowadays, there are 600 millions of hypertension patients all over the world. World Health Organization (WHO) determined the hypertension as a risk factor number three of the death cause in the world. This illness can relapse because in totally, it can not be healed.
This research aimed to find out the description of Hypertension Patient’s Behaviour in Preventing the relapse of hypertension. This research was a descriptive research. It was held from may to june 2013. Sample of the research was all the hypertension patients who had done/still in the process of healing in Dulalowo Puskesmas from January to March 2013 amounted 106 people by total sampling technique. Variable of the research consisted of knowledge, behaviour and implementation variable.
The result showed as follows: there were 55.7% of respondents who had good knowledge while 44.3% of respondents who had lack knowledge in preventing the relapse of hypertension; 52.8% of respondents who had good behaviour, while 47.2% had less behaviour and 39.6% of respondents who act good and 60.4% who act less.
It is expected to the puskesmas to increase the service particularly health promotion about hypertension illness. For the society primarily the patients, they should be always healthy and controlled so the blood pressure is still in limits. For the other researchers, it is suggested to do a further research but with other variables related to hypertension cases.

Saat ini terdapat 600 juta penderita hipertensi di seluruh dunia. World Health Organization (WHO) menetapkan hipertensi sebagai faktor risiko nomor tiga penyebab kematian didunia. Hipertensi bisa kambuh, karena secara keseluruhan hipertensi tidak dapat disembuhkan.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran perilaku penderita hipertensi dalam upaya mencegah kekambuhan penyakit hipertensi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Mei sampai dengan Juni 2013. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasien hipertensi yang sedang/pernah berobat Puskesmas Dulalowo selang bulan Januari sampai dengan Maret 2013 yang berjumlah 106 orang dan menggunakan teknik Total sampling, variabel yang diteliti yaitu variabel pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan responden yang memiliki pengetahuan baik dalam upaya mencegah kekambuhan penyakit hipertensi 55.7%, pengetahuan kurang 44.3%, responden memiliki sikap baik sebanyak 52.8%, sikap kurang 47.2% dan responden yang baik tindakannya sebanyak 39.6% dan tindakan kurang 60.4%.
Saran bagi Puskesmas untuk meningkatkan pelayanan khususnya promosi kesehatan tentang penyakit hipertensi. Bagi masyarakat terutama penderita hipertensi agar berperilaku sehat dan terkontrol sehingga tekanan darah tetap dalam batas yang tidak merusak organ tubuh. Bagi peneliti lain agar mengadakan penelitian lebih lanjut namun dengan variabel-variabel yang lain dalam hubungannya dengan kejadian hipertensi.
