This study aims to determine student knowledge about smoking habits, to determine students attitudes with respect to smoking habits, knowledge of learners to determine the relationship to smoking and to determine the relationship of students attitudes to smoking.
This study uses a descriptive research design with a Cross Sectional Study approach. Data analysis used the Fisher exact with the entire students population at SMP Negeri 3 SATAP Bone Beach school year 2013 as many as 81 peoples, and the sample is all males students some 36 peoples. Sample retrieval technique using Purposive Sampling.
Based on the results of the data analysis, it was found there was no significant relationship between knowledge of the smoking habit where p = 0.13 (p> 0,05). So that statistically shows that knowledge there is no relationship to smoking. Meanwhile, the results of the data analysis for the relationship to smoking attitudes obtained p value = 0.417 (p> 0.05) were statistically shown that there is no relationship students attitudes to smoking.
It is expected that SMP Negeri 3 SATAP Bone Beach can improve oversight of smoking habits on students in preventing a variety of diseases and other adverse effects caused from smoking for students, working with parents to increase supervision of students in the knowledge of the dangers of smoking and to make it more understandable again.

Program studi ilmu keperawatan, Fakultas ilmu-ilmu kesehatan dan keolahragaan, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. (Pembimbing I) Hj. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan pelajar tentang kebiasaan merokok, untuk mengetahui sikap pelajar sehubungan dengan kebiasaan merokok, untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan pelajar dengan kebiasaan merokok dan untuk mengetahui hubungan sikap pelajar dengan kebiasaan merokok.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian survey analitik dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Analisa data yang digunakan yaitu Fisher exact dengan populasi seluruh pelajar di SMP Negeri 3 SATAP Bone Pantai Tahun Ajaran 2013 sebanyak 81 orang dan sampel adalah seluruh siswa laki-laki sejumlah 36 orang. Tehnik pengambilan Sampel menggunakan Purposive Sampling.
Berdasarkan hasil analisa data, didapatkan tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara pengetahuan dengan kebiasaan merokok dimana p = 0,13 (p>0,05). Sehingga secara statistic menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan tidak terdapat hubungan dengan kebiasaan merokok. Sedangkan, hasil analisa data untuk hubungan sikap dengan kebiasaan merokok memperoleh nilai p = 0,417 (p>0,05) yang secara statistic menunjukkan bahwa sikap pelajar tidak terdapat hubungan dengan kebiasaan merokok.
Diharapkan agar SMP Negeri 3 SATAP Bone Pantai dapat meningkatkan pengawasan terhadap Kebiasaan merokok pada pelajar dalam mencegah terjadinya berbagai macam penyakit dan dampak buruk lainnya akibat dari kebiasaan merokok bagi pelajar, bekerja sama dengan orang tua pelajar dalam peningkatan pengawasan serta pengetahuan tentang bahaya merokok agar lebih dipahami lagi.
