Abstrak

ABSTRACT Sarlin Suma, Student’s ID: 841 409 025, 2013. The Factors Related to Acute Diarrhea on Infants at Health Center Coverage Area of Bulango Utara. Skripsi. Study Program of S1 Nursing, Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences and Sports, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The Principal supervisor was Rini Fahriani Zees, S.Kep, Ns, M. Kep and The Co-supervisor was Rhein Djunaid, S.Kep, Ns, Kes. Diarrhea is a disease characterized by increased frequency of defecation (3 or more per day) more than normal, which is accompanied by consistent and changes in shape of patients’ feces. The study aimed to determine the relationship among the factors (environment, level of mother’s knowledge, socio-economic, food and beverages consumed) associated toward acute diarrhea on infants. Research methods applied observational design with cross sectional analytic study. The entire population were infants under five years old suffering diarrhea amounted 141, and 104 children among them were being the sample.
