Abstrak
ABSTRACT
Lestrian Sunge. 2013. The Relationship of Obesity and Smoking Habits with Hypertension, on Patients of Men at Internist Polyclinic in Prof. DR. H. Aloe Saboe Hospital, Gorontalo. Skripsi. Department of Nursing, Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences. Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The principal supervisor was Rini Fahriani Zees, and the co-supervisor was Lia Amalia.
Hypertension defines as persistent blood pressure, where the systolic pressure up to 140 mmHg and the diastolic pressure up to 90 mmHg.
The aim of this research is to know the relationship of the obesity and smoking habits with hypertension, on the men patients at internist polyclinic in Prof. Dr H. Aloe Saboe hospital, Gorontalo.
This research was analytic research, by the Cross Sectional Study research plan. The population was all the patient of men who went to the internist polyclinic, about 409 patients. The sample of this research was about 203 patients. Technique of collecting the data applied the purposive sampling.
The result of the research showed the distribution of the patients that had high blood pressure or hypertension about 92 patients (45,3%), and the patients that have normal blood pressure or Normotension about 111 patients (54,7). From the Chi-Square got p mark = 0,001 (p ?2 table (14,22 > 7,82). On the other hand, there is relationship between obesity with the hypertension. From the Chi-Square got p mark = 0,006 (p ?2 table (7,61 > 3,84). On the other hand, that there is relationship of smoking habits with the hypertension.
This research suggested that to give the education of health on the patients about hypertension, obesity, and smoking habits.

Lestrian Sunge. 2013. Hubungan Obesitas dan Kebiasaan Merokok Dengan Kejadian Hipertensi Pada Pasien Pria Yang Berobat di Poli Klinik Penyakit Dalam RSUD Prof. DR. H. Aloei Saboe Kota Gorontalo. Jurusan S1 Keperawatan Jurusan Keparawatan, Fakultas Ilmu-Ilmu Kesehatan Dan Keolahragaan Univesitas Negeri Gorontalo. Pembimbingan I Rini Fahriani Zees dan Pembimbing II Lia Amalia.
Hipertensi didefinisikan sebagai tekanan darah persisten dimana tekanan sistoliknya diatas 140 mmHg dan tekanan diastoliknya di atas 90 mmHg.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan obesitas dan kebiasaan merokok dengan kejadian hipertensi pada pasien pria yang berobat di Poli Klinik Penyakit Dalam RSUD Prof. Dr. H. Aloei Saboe Kota Gorontalo.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan rancangan penelitian Cross sectional Study. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua pasien pria yang berobat di Poli Klinik Penyakit Dalam sebanyak 409 pasien. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 203 pasien.. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara Purvosive Sampling.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Distribusi pasien yang memiliki tekanan darah tinggi atau hipertensi berjumlah 92 pasien (45,3%) dan pasien yang memiliki tekanan darah normal atau normotensi berjumlah 111 pasien (54,7 %), dari hasil uji Chi-Square diperoleh nilai p = 0,001 (p < 0,05) dan diperoleh nilai ?2 hitung > ?2 tabel (14,22 > 7,82). Dapat dikatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara obesitas dengan kejadian hipertensi. Dari hasil uji Chi-Square diperoleh nilai p = 0,006 (p < 0,05) dan diperoleh nilai nilai ?2 hitung > ?2 tabel (7,61 > 3,84). Dapat dikatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kebiasaan merokok dengan kejadian hipertensi.
Saran yaitu agar selalu memberikan pendidikan kesehatan kepada pasien mengenai hipertensi, obesitas dan kebiasaan merokok.
