Pelaksanaan penelitian ini didasarkan pada rumusan masalah apakah penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Team Achievement Devision (STAD) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran ekonomi di kelas XI C4 pada SMA Negeri 1 Bongomeme Kabupaten Gorontalo.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Objek penelitian berjumlah 34 orang. Variabel penelitian terdiri dari variabel input, proses, dan output. Tahapan penelitian terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yakni lembar pengamatan untuk menilai kegiatan guru, lembar pengamatan untuk menilai kegiatan siswa, dan lembar tes untuk mengukur peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Teknik analisis data dilaksanakan secara kuantitatif pada setiap akhir siklus pembelajaran dengan menggunakan data hasil observasi kegiatan guru dan aktivitas siswa serta data hasil belajar siswa.
Sebagai kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah hipotesis penelitian yang berbunyi: Jika guru menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada Mata Pelajaran Ekonomi di Kelas XI C4, Maka hasil belajar siswa akan meningkat dengan indikator kinerja jumlah siswa yang memperoleh nilai minimal 75% meningkat dari 44.11% menjadi 80% dapat diterima karena didukung dengan hasil analisis data: 1) siswa yang memperoleh hasil belajar minimal 75 meningkat dari 41.11% hasil observasi awal menjadi 61.77% hasil siklus I dan meningkat lagi menjadi 85.30% hasil siklus II, 2) hasil pengamatan kegiatan guru yang termasuk pada kategori sangat baik dan baik meningkat dari 60.00% siklus I menjadi 86.67% % pada siklus II, dan 3) hasil pengamatan kegiatan siswa yang termasuk pada kategori sangat baik dan baik meningkat 73.07% siklus I menjadi 92.3% hasil siklus II.

Skripsi. Majoring Office Education Study Program of Economics Education, Department of Economics Education, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The principal supervisor was Dr. H. Rosman Ilato, M.Pd and the co-supervisor was Robiyati Podungge, S.Pd, M.Ap. This research was held based on the problem statement “whether or not the cooperative learning Model Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type can increase student’s learning achievement on Economics subject at Class XI C4 in SMA Negeri 1 Bongomeme, District of Gorontalo.
The method applied was classroom action research toward 34 students as the object. Research variables involved input, process, and output variables. It was implemented by following research steps namely planning, treatment, observation, and reflection. The data were collected through observation sheets to elaborate students’ activities, observation sheets to elaborate teachers’ activities, and test to measure the improvement of students’ learning achievement. After that, the data were analyzed quantitatively at the end of every cicle of the action by observing those sheets.
As the conclusion, the hypothesis that was formulated, namely “ if teachers apply cooperative learning model type STAD on Economics subject at Class XI C4, students’ learning achievement will be improved” is accepted. It was proved by the findings, such as: (1) Students who got 75 increased from 41.11% on the first observation to 61.77% on cicle I and 85.30% on cycle II; (2) The result of the observation toward teachers’ activity in very good and good category increased from 60.00% on cycle I to 86.67% on cycle II; and (3) the result of the observation toward students’ activity revealed the increase of very good and good category from 73.07% on cycle I to 92.3% on cycle II.
