Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terjadi perubahan pendapatan usaha kecil sebelum dan sesudah hadirnya retail modern di Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan data primer yang diperoleh dari penyebaran angket kepada mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis komparatif Wilcoxon Rank Test data yang dibandingkan jumlahnya sama dan karena data tidak berdistribusi normal.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara pendapatan usaha kecil Sebelum dan Sesudah Hadirnya retail modern pada Kabupaten Gorontalo. Pendapatan usaha kecil yang tidak mengalami perubahan atau dalam keadaan tetap sebanyak 14 usaha kecil atau sebesar 45,2%. Sementara itu yang mengalami perubahan yakni menurun sebanyak 17 usaha kecil atau sebesar 4,8% dari keseluruhan sampel penelitian. Rata-rata pendapatan usaha kecil Sesudah Hadirnya retail modern pada Kabupaten Gorontalo lebih kecil dibandingkan sebelum hadirnya retail modern atau (Rp 1.490.322 < Rp .906.451,61). Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa dari segi pendapatan usaha kecil pada periode sebelum hadirnya retail modern lebih baik dibandingkan dengan setelah terjadinya hadirnya retail modern. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa kemampuan penjualan usaha kecil mengalami penurunan yang cukup tajam setelah adanya retail modern tersebut, untuk hal tersebut maka pemerintah Kabupaten Gorontalo harus mengupayakan penekanan pada jumlah retail modern agar tidak menurunkan lebih jauh lagi pendapatan usaha kecil.

This study aims to determine whether there is a change in the income of small businesses before and after the presence of retail modern in Gorontalo district. This is qualitative research by using primary data which is obtained from questionnaires distributed to students. The study applies descriptive analysis and comparative analysis wilcoxon Rank tes in analyzing the data compared with the same amount and because the data is not normally distributed.
Research finding reveals thet there is a sigficant difference between the small business income before and after the presence of modern retail in the district of Gorontalo. There were 14 small businesses or 45.2% does not change while 17 small businesses or 54.8% decreased from the overall samples of the study. the average income of small businessesin the district of Gorontalo after the presence of modern retail or ( IDR 1.490.322< IDR 1.906.451,61). Soit can be stated that regarding small businessincome in the period before the presence of modern retail is betterthan after the presence of modern retail. It can be concluded that the sales capability of small business is experiencing a signifitcan decline after the presence of modern retail. Therefor the government of the district of Gorontalo should seek to emphasize the number of modern retailers to avoid further decline in small business income.
