Abstract
Saleh, Meylan (2009). This research is to find out the effect of learning model and students learning cognitive STAD and the silent way style toward students leraning outcome in biologi. Thesis, Study Program of education basis sains, Post Graduate Program of Gorontalo State University.
The research is to find the effect of learning model cooperative student cognitive to observe the cooperative learning STAD and the silent way. The research is experiment research that was conducted in SLTP Negeri 2 Limboto on second semester of 2008/2009 academics years with factorial design was 2x2. In taking the Sample, it is used cluster random sampling technique. After that, they are devide into two groups of learning cooperative learning type STAD and the silent way type. The achievement was measured using test of function derivative lesson in multiple-choise form. The skill in critical thinking was measured using multiple-choise test that referredto indicator of students’ skill in critical thinking that consisted of knowledge, view, analysis, synthesis also evaluating. The data processing used variance analysis (ANAVA) and tuckey testing as continued testing because each group had same total sample. The result showed that there is a difference in byologi learning between learning cooperative of STAD and the silent way. In addition, there had interaction between the silent way with studentcognitive thinking towards learning achievement. Furthermore, based on tuckey testing, it got the result that learning achievement of student with high cognitive learning cooperative thinking of learning type was different with learning achievement of students in STAD. However, learning achievement of students with low critical cognitive cooperative in learning the silent way type was low than learning cooperative STAD type.
