Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out the time to weed and tillage on the growth and yield of long bean plants, and their interactions. This research was conducted from March to May 2015 in the village of Hulawa, Telaga sub-district, Gorontalo District. This study used factorial randomized block design (RBD) where the first factor was weeding time which consisted of three levels, namely without weeding, 2 MST and 4 MST. The second factor is the cultivation of land consisting of two levels, namely tillage 1 time and tillage 2 times. The results showed that the treatment of weeding 2 MST had an effect on growth in plant height aged 3 MST and 5 MST, the number of leaves aged 3 MST and 5 MST. The results affect the number of crop pods and plant pod weight. 2 times the effect of soil treatment on growth in plant age 3 MST and 5 MST, number of leaves aged 3 MST and 5 MST. The results affect the number of crop pods and plant pod weight. And there is an interaction effect between the time of weeding 2 MST and tillage 2 times on the number of crop pods and the weight of crop pods. Keywords: Weeding time, tillage and long beans.
