Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the number of cuttings and the time
of application of Phonska fertilizer on the growth and yield of patchouli plants. The study was
conducted in March to August 2015 in Tuladenggi Village, Dungingi District, Gorontalo City.
This study uses factorial design in RAK with the first factor, namely the number of cuttings
consisting of 2 levels, namely 2 mas cuttings and 3 mas cuttings. The second factor was the
application of phonska fertilizer consisting of 3 levels, namely level 1 (2 MST), level 2 (2
MST and 8 MST) and level 3 (2, 8 and 10 MST). The results showed that the treatment of the
number of cuttings affected the growth and yield of patchouli plants namely plant height 12
and 15 MST, leaves number 12 and 15 MST, wet weight of plantations and dry weight of
plants. The treatment of phonska fertilizer application had an effect on the growth and yield of
patchouli plants, namely plant height 9, 12 and 15 MST, whereas leaves 9, 12 and 15 MST,
wet weight significantly affected 3 mas cuttings which were 383.33 and dry weight affected
the number of cuttings is 73.94 and has an effect on the phonska application time of 62.20.
There is an interaction between the number of cuttings and the time of application of phonska
fertilizer to wet weight. The best combination of treatments was a combination of a number of
treatments of 3 mas cuttings and the time of application of phonska fertilizer 2, 8, and 12
MST.
