Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of intercropping of spinach and other vegetables and the best treatment for the growth and yield of spinach. The study was conducted in Toto Utara Village, Tilongkabila Subdistrict, Bone Bolango Regency and began in November to December 2013. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) design with 3 treatments namely T0 = control, T1= spinach intercropped with caisin, and T2 = spinach intercropped with kale. Each treatment was repeated 3 times so that there were 9 experimental units. Observation parameters included plant height, number of leaves, and wet weight. The results showed that variations in intercropping of spinach with other vegetable plants significantly affected plant height 2 and 3 MST, number of leaves 2 MST and no significant effect on wet weight. The best variation of spinach intercropping with other vegetable plants on all observed parameters was intercropping of spinach with spinach plants.
