Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know about theproduction response of two varieties of melonplants against pruning time. The research was carried out from April until June 2015 at the Hulawa village, Telaga district, Gorontalo. The research used a factorial design in Group Randomized Design with the first factor consists of two varieties specifically Aramis F1 and Action 434. The second factor is the time of pruning shoots consists of 3 levels : 6, 7 and 8 MST(weeks after planting). The results showed that treatment of F1 Aramisvarieties gives the best response on production of melon plants includes the age of flowering, fruit circle and weight of fruits per hide. The time of pruning shoots at 6 MST gave the best response on melon crop production i.e. age of flowering, the fruit loop fruit and weight per hide. There is an interaction between varieties of melon Aramis F1 and the time of pruning shoots 6 MST against the weight of the fruit per plants Keyword :Varieties, Pruning shoot, Melon plants
