Abstract
This research aims to investigate the influence of application time of NPK Phonska fertilizer and
variation of seeds number per hole of planting toward growth and yields of sweet cornand to
investigate interaction between application time of NPK Phonska fertilizer and variation of seeds
number per hole of planting. This research is conducted at village of Hulawa, Sub-district of
Telaga, District of Grontalo. The research is started from March to May 2017. It uses Factorial
Randomized Block Design with 6 treaments namely 1 time of fertilization with 2 seeds, 2 times of
fertilization with 2 seeds, 3 time of fertilization with 2 seeds, 1 time of fertilization with 3 seeds, 2
times of fertilization with 3 seeds, 3 times of fertilization with 3 seeds that are repeated in 3 times.
Data of research are analyzed by using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and if there is influenceof
aplicationtime fertilizer treatment with variation of seeds number per hole of planting toward
growth and yields of sweet corn, it is continued to Least Significant Difference test. Research
finding reveals that applaication time of fertilizer with variation of seeds number per hole of
planting has influence toward height of plant, number of leaf and production of sweet corn.
Treatment of 1 time of fertilization with 2 seeds per hole planting is the best in influencing growth
and yields of sweet corn namely with production of 11,46 tons/ ha.
