Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the production of cucumber plants due to pruning and the number of seeds per planting hole and their interactions. The study was conducted in the village of Hulawa, Telaga District, Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo Province. April to June 2017. The method used is Factorial Randomized Group Design with two factors, namely the first factor of pruning consists of 3 levels, namely (P0 = Without Pruning, P1 = prune 1 and leaves 1 branch on sections 5-11, and P2 = cut 2 leaves and 2 branches on sections 5-11) and the second factor is the number of seeds per planting hole consisting of 2 levels, namely (B1 = 2 seeds per planting hole and B2 = 3 seeds per planting hole). The results showed that the production of cucumber was higher in cucumber plants which were cut compared to those not cut. The treatment of 3 seeds per planting hole has an effect on the number of fruits harvested to 2 and 3, the length of fruit harvest 1 and fruit weight.
