Abstract
Isimu – Paguyaman is national roads are increasingly used road paths. The existence of this roads is the main connector between North Sulawesi Province – Gorontalo – Central Sulawesi. The increased frequency of daily traffic plus the conditions of rainy season caused potentials for road solidity damages unavoidable. Therefore, purpose of this study is to determine the level of damaged road that is made as a sample of the study, to make the order of priority improvement for damaged roads as the ranking of damaged conditions, and to do evaluation on the underlying causes of the damaged roads and the measures of improvement.
The research is done by using Pavement Condition Index method (PCI) in which standard of U.S Army Corp of Engineer, the research implementation in road section of Isimu – Paguyaman from km 31 to km 41 was done with divide sample unit research in damage, afterwards type and level brokenness that was done to know the damage condition for each sample unit, called as rating pavement condition index.
The result from judgenees of condition with PCI method, the most common of brokenness are polished aggregate 12.671,94 m2 (30,21%), lane/shoulder off 10.009,36 m (22,24%), rutting 6.319,02 m2 (14,04%). The main average point of PCI is 26,22 rating poor.
