Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the effect of jajar legowo and tandur jajar cropping systems on the growth and rice yield of Cigeulis varieties. The research was conducted in the Wongkaditi Timur of Gorontalo City, which began in March until July 2012. This study was used randomized block design consisting of four treatments and each replicated three times. The treatment were (A) legowo 2 : 1, (B) 4 : 1 , (C) tandur jajar 25 cm x 25 cm and (D) tandur jajar 30 x 30 cm. This results showed that the jajar legowo and tandur jajar cropping systems had significant effect on the growth and rice yields. While, the jajar legowo cropping system of 4 : 1 produced the highest on the growth and rice yield compared othe cropping systems
