Agronomic research to determine the effect of one or a combination of growth factors has been carried out with the statistical models are limited to a certain time and place. To reduce these difficulties, an alternative approach is modeling that for the process and the prediction ekofisiologis growth and crop production. This study aims to determine the potential and constraints of maize production in several types of agroclimatic Gorontalo and choose the type of agroclimate suitable for the development of corn. This study was conducted in August 2012 unti l November 2012 at the site Bone Bolango (Type E1). This study uses the system analyzes supported field trials. The simulation was performed using the model Shierary. Experimental plots divided draft prepared consisting of 3 replicates. Fertilizer treatment (N) placed as the main plot and varieties as sub plots. Fertilizer treatment consisted of 4 levels 0, 100, 200 and 300 kgNha-1. Treatment of a variety of plant are Pioneer and Arjuna varieties. Parameters were observed consisting of plant height, dry weight of plant organs, specific leaf area (SLA), leaf area index (LAI), extinction coefficient (k), the development ofthe plant(s), field capacity and permanent wilting point, soil moisture content, and soil fertility. Maize production potential and constraints at the site representing some type of agroclimate in Gorontalo, differ depending on climatic conditions, especially rainfall and long irradiation. Bone Bolango sites with a sites type E1agroclimate suitable for the development of corn plants which produce apeak production of 6.524 ton ha-1at planting time of 1 February, the use of varieties with Arjuna harvest 103 days.
