Abstract
Panel data regression analysis is usually used to observe individuals or units studied continuously over several periods. In this study, the panel data regression model used was the common effect model (CEM) and the fixed effect model (FEM). To determine which model is better between the CEM model and the FEM model, an estimation method using the Chow test was chosen. This analysis was applied to maize production data in Gorontalo Regency from 2015 to 2018. The results using the Chow test showed that the best model was the Common Effect Model, with the harvested area as a factor that significantly affected maize production.
