Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana buku saku self acceptance sebagai media bimbingan dan konseling pribadi pada siswa SMP Negeri 2 Gorontalo yang dikembangkan? Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku saku self acceptance sebagai media bimbingan dan konseling pribadi pada siswa SMP Negeri 2 Gorontalo.
Untuk memperoleh hasil penelitian terhadap permasalahan di atas, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian Research and Development (R&D) menurut Sugiyono (2019). Metode penelitian Research and Development (R&D) melalui langkah-langkah sebagai berikut; (1) Potensi dan masalah, (2) mengumpulkan informasi, (3) Desain produk, (4) Validasi desain (validasi ahli), (5) Revisi desain, (6) Pembuatan produk (7) Uji coba produk, (8) Revisi produk, (9) Uji coba pemakaian, (10) Revisi produk, (11) Pembuatan produk massal. Namun pada penelitian ini hanya sampai pada tahap ke tujuh, karena pada tahap ini telah melalui validasi ahli dan uji coba produk sehingga menghasilkan produk akhir yang dapat di gunakan sebagai media bimbingan dan konseling pribadi pada siswa SMP Negeri 2 Gorontalo. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa buku saku self acceptance dapat digunakan sebagai media bimbingan dan konseling pribadi untuk memberikan informasi kepada siswa tentang bidang self caaeptance (penerimaan diri), mengingat produk ini telah melalui tahap uji validasi ahli masing-masing oleh ahli desain media, ahli bahasa, dan ahli bimbingan dan konseling, serta telah melalui uji coba produk yang dilakukan

Abstract
This study aimed to develop a self-acceptance pocket book as a medium of personal guidance and counseling for students at SMP 2 State Junior High School in Gorontalo; this was based on the research problem.
In obtaining the research results, the researcher applied the Research and Development (R&D) research method according to Sugiyono (2019). The Research and Development (R&D) research method consists of steps, namely, (1) Potential and problems, (2) information collection, (3) Product design, (4) Design validation (expert validation), (5) Design revision, (6) Product manufacture (7) Product trial, (8) Product revision, (9) Usage trial, (10) Product revision, (11) Mass product manufacture. However, this research has only reached the seventh stage, because at this stage it had gone through expert validation and product testing, resulting in a final product that can be used as a medium for personal guidance and counseling for students. The results indicated that the self-acceptance pocket book can be used as a medium of personal guidance and counseling to provide information to students about self-acceptance, considering that this product had gone through the expert validation test stage respectively by media design experts, linguists, and guidance and counseling experts, and had gone through product trials.
