Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah "Bagaimana dampak facebook terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa Jurusan PGSD FIP UNG. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak facebook terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa Jurusan PGSD FIP UNG.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi yang bertujuan menjelaskan karakteristik fenomena atau masalah yakni dampak facebook terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa Jurusan PGSD FIP UNG. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa facebook berdampak positif dan negatif terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa jurusan PGSD FIP UNG. Dampak positif facebook terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa Jurusan PGSD FIP UNG yaitu Dapat menimbulkan motivasi, Mendukung tercapainya proses belajar mengajar, dan Menambah wawasan mahasiswa. Dampak negatif facebook terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa jurusan PGSD FIP yaitu Mengganggu kesehatan dan Mengganggu aktifitas kuliah. Kata Kunci : Facebook, Prestasi Akademik Juanda Ododay, 2017. Problem statement of this research is how the impact of facebook towards Academic Achievement of students of Department of Elementary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Education, State University of Gorontalo. This research aims at investigating the impact of facebook towards Academic Achievement of Students of Department of Elementary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Education, State University of Gorontalo. Findng reveals that facebook has both positive and negative impact the impact of facebook towards academic achievement of students of Departmen of Elementary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Education, State University of Gorontalo. The positive impact are motivating, supporting the achievement of teaching and learning process, and improving students' knowledge. The negative impact are distempering, and interfering activity.
