Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media gambar terhadap kemampuan menulis cerita siswa kelas V di SDN Kecamatan Tilongkabila Kabupaten Bonebolango. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif, yaitu penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain penelitian one group pretest posttest design. Dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling purposive. Adapun jumlah sampel berjumlah 30 orang siswa. Data penggunaan media gambar terhadap hasil belajar siswa didapatkan dari pemberian tes yang berbentuk pilihan ganda yang telah diuji validitasnya menggunakan point baserial dan reliabilitas menggunakan alpha cronbach. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar terhadap hasil belajar siswa tentang menulis cerita sangat mempengaruhi pada proses pembelajaran serta hasil yang didapatkan. Hasil belajar siswa sebelum menggunakan media gambar(pretest) rata-rata 5,08 dan untuk hasil belajar dengan menggunakan media gambar(posttest) rata-rata 11,23. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t (independent Sample Test) nilai thitung 11,5876, sedangkan ttabel 1,70. Uji keberartian diperoleh thitung lebih besar dari ttabel (11,5876 > 1,70). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis cerita siswa kelas V di SDN Kecamatan Tilongkabila Kabupaten Bonebolango. The purpose of this research is to figure out the influence of using image media on story writing ability of grade V students in Tilongkabila Subdistrict Elementary School in Bone Bolango District. This type of research is quantitative; one kind of experimental research that use one group pre-test and post-test research design. The sample was chosen by using purposive sampling technique. The total of the sample is 30 students. The data on media use of images on student learning outcomes obtained from the provision of tests in the form of multiple choice that has been tested its validity using point biserial and reliability using Cronbach's Alpha. The results showed that the use of image media on student learning outcomes about writing stories greatly influenced the learning process and the results obtained. Student learning outcomes before using image media (pre-test) is an average of 5,08and for learning outcomes using media images (post-test) is an average of 11,23. The results of testing the hypothesis using the t-test (independent Sample Test) is t count equal to 11.5876, while the t table is 1.70. The significance test value is t count greater than t table (11.5876> 1.70). Based on the result and discussion, it can be concluded that the use of image media affect story writing ability of Grade V students in Tilongkabila Subdistrict Elementary School in Bone Bolango District.
