Abstract
ABSTRAK
Mohammad Ramdan Zakaria 2017: Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Pemahaman melalui Teknik Membandingkan Isi Dua Teks di Kelas IV SDN 107 Kota Utara Kota Gorontalo. Skripsi, Jurusan PGSD Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, dibimbing oleh Dr. Yusuf Jafar, M.Pd. dan Hj. Sumarni Mohamad, S.Pd, M.Pd.
Tujuan Penelitian adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman melalui teknik membandingkan isi dua teks di kelas IV SDN 107 Kota Utara Kota Gorontalo. Metode penelitian bersifat deskriptif. Siswa yang dikenakan tindakan kelas berjumlah 28 orang.
Capaian awal sebelum dilakukan tindakan kelas menunjukkan bahwa, dari 28 orang siswa, 3 orang siswa termasuk kategori mampu membaca pemahaman berdasarkan indikator dalam membaca pemahaman. Pada siklus I menunjukkan bahwa, 7 dari 28 orang termasuk pada kategori mampu dalam membaca pemahaman. Jumlah dan presentase meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 26 dari 28 siswa termasuk pada kategori mampu. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik membandingkan isi dua teks dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada siswa kelas IV SDN 107 Kota Utara Kota Gorontalo tahun pelajaran 2017/2018.

The Purpose of this research is to improve students, reading Comperhension ability by employing a technique of two texts comparison at Grade IV SDN 107 Kota Utara., Gorontalo City. This research used descriptive method and selected 28 students as the participants.
The intial outcome prior to classroom action shows that three out of 28 students are able to read comprehensively based on the indicators. Cycle I also revealsthe same result with the total of seven students who successfully to read comprehensively. The number of students who are good at reading comprehension increase to 26 out of 28 students. It is concluded that the technique of two text comparsion can improve students, reading comprehension ability in the research area in the academic year of 2017/2018.
