Pengaruh Metode Firing Line Terhadap Kemampuan Menentukan Gagasan Utama Pada Siswa Kelas IV SDN 105 Kota Utara Kota Gorontalo.Skripsi, Jurusan Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah "Apakah terdapat Pengaruh Metode Firing Line Terhadap Kemampuan Menentukan Gagasan Utama Pada Siswa Kelas IV SDN 105 Kota Utara Kota Gorontalo ?". Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Pre-experimental Design dengan rancanggan One group pretest-posttest design. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini yaitu metode Firing line dan variabel terikat pada penelitian ini yaitu kemampuan menentukan gagasan utama. Sampel pada penelitian sebanyak 24 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampel jenuh. Tehnik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji validitas, uji normalitas menggunakan uji Liliefors dan uji hipotesis
Hasil penelitian dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil kemampuan menentukan gagasan utama siswa, sebelum diberikan perlakuan menggunakan metode Firing line yaitu 38,125 dan setelah menggunakan metode firing line yaitu 67,042 Dilihat dari pengujian hipotesis diperoleh thitung > ttabel yaitu 7,655 > 1,71 dengan derajat kebebasan (dk) = 23 dan taraf signifikasi 0,05. Dengan demikian H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang artinya terdapat Pengaruh Metode firing line Terhadap Kemampuan Menentukan Gagasan Utama Pada Siswa Kelas IV SDN 105 Kota Utara Kota Gorontalo

The research aims to investigate the problem statement, i.e., "is Firing Line method able to influence students' skill in identifying main idea in fourth- grade students of Elementary School, SDN 105 Kota Utara, Gorontalo City?" This pre-experimental research employed one group pretest-posttest design which engaged firing line method as free variable and skills of identifying main idea as the bound variable. 24 students were analyzed by validity test, liliefors normality test, and hypothesis test.
The research finding indicate that students' average result score in skills of identifying main idea prior to the treatment is 38.125. During the implementation of firing line method, the average score increases to 67.042. Further, from the hypothesis test, it is elaborated that tcount > ttable, i.e 7.655 > 1.71, with degree of freedom at 23 and significance rate of 0.05 This signifies that H0 is rejected while H1 is accepted. In consequence, the implementation of Firing Line method contributes to the increase of fourth grade students' skill in identifying main idea in Elementary Scholl, SDN 105 Kota Utara. Gorontalo City.
