Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah terdapat pengaruh model problem based learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPA kelas V di SDN 3 Suwawa Kabupaten Bone Bolango. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPA di kelas V. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas V SDN 3 Suwawa yang berjumlah 23 siswa. Penarikan sampelnya menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah model PBL dan variabel terikat dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes. Berdasarkan tes yang diujikan, rata-rata nilai kemampuan siswa sebelum menggunakan model PBL yaitu 53,65 dan setelah menggunakan model PBL yaitu 79,48. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung = 11,269 dan ttabel=1,717 atau thitung > ttabel. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model PBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPA kelas V di SDN 3 Suwawa Kabupaten Bone Bolango.

The problem statement in this research is whether or not there is an influence of problem-based learning model (PBL) on students' critical thinking abilities in Natural Science learning at grade V in Elementary school SDN 3 Suwawa, Bone Bolango District. The aim is to figure out the influence of PBL model on students' critical thinking abilities in Natural Science learning. This experimental research was conducted by involving all 23 Grade V students as the population with one-group pretest-posttest design. The samples were saturated sampling technique. The independent variable in this research is PBL model,and dependent variable in this research is critical thinking abilities. The data were collected from a test. Based on the test, the average score of students' abilities before using the PBL model is 53.65 and after using the PBL model is 79.48. Hypothesis test results obtain tcount= 11.269 and ttable= 1.717 or tcount>ttable. It can be concluded that there is an influence of problem-based learning model (PBL) on students' critical thinking abilities in Natural Science learning at grade V in Elementary school SDN 3 Suwawa, Bone Bolango District.
