Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah terdapat pengaruh model project based learning (PjBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA di kelas IV SDN 3 Suwawa Kabupaten Bone Bolango. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PjBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas IV. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain one grup pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa di kelas IV SDN 3 Suwawa yang berjumlah 21 siswa. Penarikan sampelnya menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah model PjBL dan variabel terikat dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes. Berdasarkan tes yang telah diujikan rata-rata nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebelum menggunakan model PjBL yaitu 36,38 dan setelah menggunakan model PjBL yaitu 45,57. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung=6,028 dan ttabel=1,725 atau thitung>ttabel. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model PjBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran IPA di kelas IV SDN 3 Suwawa Kabupaten Bone Bolango.

The problem statement of this research is whether or not there is an influence of project-based learning (PjBL) model towards students' critical thinking abilities in Natural Science learning at grade IV SDN 3 Elementary school Suwawa, Bone Bolango Regency. This study aims to identify the influence of PjBL model on students' critical thinking abilities. This research was conducted by using experimental method with pretest-posttest group design. The population of this study involved all 21 students in grade IV Elementary school SDN 3 Suwawa. The samples were saturated sampling technique. The independent variable in this research is PjBL model andthe dependent variable is critical thinking abilities. The data were collected by applying test. The test average value of students' critical thinking abilities before using the model PjBL is 36.38 and after using the model, PjBL is 45.57. Hypothesis test results obtainstcount = 6.028 and ttable = 1.725 or tcount>ttable. It can be concluded that there is an influence of PjBL model on students' critical thinking abilities in Natural Science learning atthe research area.
