Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada keterampilan menyimak dongeng siswa kelas V SDN 10 Kabila Kecamatan Kabila Kabupaten Bone Bolango yang diajar mengunakan metode Word Square. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada keterampilan menyimak dongeng siswa kelas V SDN 10 Kabila Kecamatan Kabila Kabupaten Bone Bolango yang diajar mengunakan metode Word Square. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pre experimental design dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SDN 10 Kabila. Diambil satu kelas sebagai sampel, yang penarikan sampelnya menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh, dimana semua anggota populasi dijadikan sampel penelitian.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat pengaruh metode Word Square terhadap keterampilan menyimak dongeng siswa, dengan skor rata-rata hasil menyimak dongeng siswa di kelas perlakuan sebelum menggunakan metode Word Square yaitu 7.43 dan sesudah menggunakan metode Word Square yaitu 15.0435 . Berdasarkan kriteria pengujian hipotesis diperoleh thitung = 19.73 dan ttabel = 1.72 atau thitung > ttabel, dengan kata lain thitung berada diluar daerah penerimaan hipotesis H0 (H0 ditolak) yang berarti menerima hipotesis alternatif (H1 diterima). Hal ini berarti terdapat pengaruh keterampilan menyimak dongeng siswa setelah menggunakan metode Word Square.

Problems in this research is whether there is a significant influence on the skill of listening fairy tales class V SDN 10 Kabila District Kabila Bone Bolango District taught using Word Square method. The goal is to find out whether there is a significant influence on the listening skills of students of class V SDN 10 Kabila District Kabila Bone Bolango District taught using Word Square method. This research is done by using pre experimental design method with one group pretest-posttest design. Population in this research is all student of class V SDN 10 Kabila. One class was taken as a sample, with samples taken using saturated sampling technique, where all members of the population were sampled.
Based on the result of research, there is influence of Word Square method to listening skill of students 'tale, with average score of listening result of students' tales in treatment class before using Word Square method that is 7.43 and after using Word Square method that is 15.0435. Based on hypothesis testing criteria obtained tcount = 19.73 and ttable = 1.72 or tcount> ttable, in other words thitung is outside the acceptance of hypothesis H0 (H0 rejected) which means accept alternative hypothesis (H1 accepted). This means that there is influence of listening skill of students after using Word Square method.
