Abstract
ABSTRAK Pratiwi Rauf/2018 "Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berbicara Melalui Model Pembelajaran Example Non Example Di Kelas IV SDN 6 Batudaa Kabupaten Gorontalo"Skripsi, Jurusan S1 PGSD, Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Pembimbing I, Dra. Hj. Evi Hasim, M.Pd. dan Pembimbing II Dra. Ratnarti Pahrun, M.Pd. Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah "Apakah melalui model Example Non Example kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas IV SDN 6 Batudaa Kabupaten akan meningkat?" adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas IV SDN 6 Batudaa dalam berbicara melalui model Example Non Example. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, yang terdiri dari empat tahap, yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan/tindakan, pemantauan, evaluasi, dan refleksi. Observasi awal tingkat kemampuan rata-rata siswa dalam berbicara (14%) atau 6 orang siswa, dan 66,66% atau 14 orang siswa yang belum mampu. Siklus I, terdapat 29% atau 6 orang siswa yang memperoleh kriteria mampu, dan 71% atau 15 orang siswa memperoleh kriteria tidak mampu. Siklus II, meningkat menjadi 95% atau 20 orang siswa yang memperoleh kirteria mampu, dan 5% atau 1 orang memperoleh kriteria tidak mampu atau indikator kinerja tercapai. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan melalui model Example Non Example, maka kemampuan berbicara siswa meningkat. The problem statement of this research is "whether or not the implementation of Example Non-example learning model improves grade IV students' speaking in elementary school, SDN 6 Batudaa." It is aimed at improving the students' speaking by using the aforementioned learning model. As many as 21 students of grade IV in SDN 6 Batudaa were involved in this study; the students consisted of 11 males and 10 females. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles with four phases, i.e. planning, treatment, observation, and reflection in each cycle; these phases were in two meetings. The results reveal that the implementation of Example Non-example learning model is able to improve the students' speaking. The preliminary observation shows that only six students (14%) who are capable of performing better on such a task, while the other 14 students (66.66%) are the opposite. Furthermore, the students' skill is improved in cycle I where 29% of the students have their speaking skill improved, meaning that 15 students (71%) are unable to satisfy the minimum accomplishment standard. This trend further continues with a significant rise in the number of students who perform well (95% or 20 students) in cycle II; still, there is only one student who has not meet the minimum standard of achievement. The above findings signify that implementing Example Non-example learning model can improve the students' speaking. Keywords: Speaking, Example Non-example
