Abstract
ABSTRAK Lindawati Yusuf 2019. Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa Melalui Metode Tebak Kata Pada Pembelajaran IPS di Kelas V SDN 6 Kota Barat Kota Gorontalo. Skripsi. Hakop Walangadi, M.Si Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa melalui metode tebak kata pada pembelajaran IPS di kelas V SDN 6 Kota Barat Kota Gorontalo. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 20 orang.Prosedur penelitian berbentuk siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap meliputi: Perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan angket. Pengumpulan data ini menggunakan instrumen berupa lembar pengamatan aktivitas siswa dan lembar pengamatan guru dalam proses pembelajaran, sedangkan untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar siswa digunakan lembar angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan metode tebak kata dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Pada Siklus I menunjukan siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar ada 15 orang dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata 68,55 dan nilai presentase 75%, tentu saja belum mencapai indicator keberhasilan, dan pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan yaitu siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar ada 19 orang dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata 82,05 dan nilai presentase 95%, artinya telah berada pada klasifikasi nilai kategori baik. Dengan demikian hipotesis tindakan yang diajukan dapat diterima. Jadi pelaksanaan tindakan kelas pada siklus 1 dan siklus II terjadi peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa melalui metode tebak kata pada pembelajaran IPS. This study employed classroom action research with the purpose to improve students` motivation through the word guessing method on social sciences subject learning in the fifth-grade of Elementary School SDN 6 Kota Barat, Gorontalo. Twenty students were taken as research subjects; the research procedure was in the form of cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages including Planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. Moreover, the techniques of collecting data were observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Further, this data collection employed instruments in the form of student and teacher observation sheets in the learning process; while questionnaires were used to determine students` learning motivation. The results show that the use of the word guessing method can improve students` learning motivation on social science subject learning in the research area. In the first cycle, there are fifteen students who have been learning motivation with the acquisition of an average value of 68.55 and a percentage value of 75%. Int the second cycle, there are nineteen students with the acquisition of an average value of 82.05 and a percentage value of 95%; in the other words, it has been in the classification of good category values. Thus, the hypothesis of the proposed action is acceptable. In short, the implementation of class action in cycle I and cycle II increased students` learning motivation through the method of guessing words on social sciences subject learning.
