Masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu apakah terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media big book terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis anak kelompok B TK Negeri Pembina Kota Tengah Kecamatan Kota Tengah Kota Gorontalo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Kuantitatif eksperimen dengan jenis Pre-Eksperimental one group pre-test and post-test design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah anak kelas B berjumlah 20 anak. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata pre-test 21,10 dengan standar deviasi 4.103 dan nilai rata-rata post-test yaitu 31,85 dengan standar deviasi 4.017. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Paried Sampel Test yang merupakan suatu pengujian untuk membandingkan skor â�Å"sebelum�dan â�Å"sesudah�percobaan untuk menentukan apakah perubahan nyata telah terjadi. Berdasarkan pengujian yang telah dilakukan melalui uji t menunjukkan bahwa nilai Sig. (2-tailed) yaitu 0,00 < 0,005 sehinga H0 di tolak dan HI di terima yang berarti hipotesi penelitian berbunyi â�Å"terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media big book terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis pada anak kelompok B TK Negeri Pembina Kota Tengah Kecamatan Kota Tengah Kota Gorontalo

This study focused on whether or not the big book medium could affect group B childrenâ�™s critical thinking skills. It was conducted at TK Pembina state kindergarten in Kota Tengah District, the city of Gorontalo. This quantitative experimental research further employed pre-experimental one-group pretestâ�"posttest design. Twenty children were selected as the research samples. The results revealed that the mean of the pre-test was 21.10 with a standard deviation of 4.103 and the mean of the post-test reached 31.85 with a standard deviation of 4.017. Hypothesis testing used the paired sample test, i.e., a test to compare the "before" and "after" scores of the experiment to determine whether or not a real change has occurred. Further, the t-test showed that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) was 0.00 < 0.005 so that H0 is rejected and HI is accepted. All in all, the research hypothesis "there is an effect of using big book medium on critical thinking skills of group B children at TK Pembina state kindergarten in the research areaâ� is accepted.
