Abstract

the aim of this research is to find out the students’ perceptions on english intensive course program at state university of gorontalo. the subject of this research is students of english department of 2012 academic year at state university of gorontalo. they are 150 students. researcher uses quantitative descriptive method. in collecting data researcher uses questionnaire. the questionnaire has 40 number statements and is divided into four indicator of english intensive course program; instructional materials, teaching and learning process, evaluation and independent study and outdoor activity. to find out the percentages of students’ agreement and disagreement on english intensive course program at state university of gorontalo, the data are processed in computer program namely spss 16 for windows and researcher interprets the data based on several categories. the result of this research is the implementations of the four indicators of english intensive course program are good. it shows that most students agree to the implementation of english intensive course program at state university of gorontalo. by considering the result of students’ perceptions, the researcher hopes that the english intensive course program is continue with some considerations.keywords: english intensive course program, ic program, indicators of ic program, students’ perceptions
