Abstract
Mahmudin Putra Ayub, 321409088, August 2016, Students' perception on The Use of Frequent English in Teaching and Learning Process : A Research conducted in MTS Negeri Gorontalo.Skripsi.English Department.Letter and Culture Faculty. State University of Gorontalo.2016. This qualitative research discovers the issues about the use of frequent English in teaching and learning process. Using English more frequent than students' native language increasing the amount of exposure the children to get the language. In order to make students acquire the language in optimum way,the teacher should repeat the pronunciation of the words often. By using English more frequent, the teacher indirectly teach students the pronunciation of the words. In order to investigate the problems,the researcher uses observation and interview with the participant are 18(eighteen)junior high school students especially in eight grade at MTS N Gorontalo. In analyzing the data,the researcher uses three processes such as data reduction,data display,and conclusion/verification. Findings indicated that from interview, the students gave various perception about the use of frequent English in teaching and learning process. From 18(eighteen) students who were interviewed,there were 15(fifteen) students agree with the use of frequent English. It means there were only 3 students who dislike the using of frequent English. It can be concluded that most of the students gave positive perception on the use of frequent English in teaching and learning process. However, The researcher classify some conditions that must be fulfill for teacher in the use of frequent English.
