Abstract
Nasaru, Nurhayati. (2015). Using Word Olympic Game in Improving Students' English Word Spelling Ability (A research conducted at the Fifth Grade Students' of MIN Limboto). Skripsi. English Department. Letters and Culture of Faculty. Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The objective of this research is to find out whether the students' ability in using word olympic game to improve their English word spelling or not. The sample of this research is fifth grade of MIN Hepuhulawa-Limboto, which consist of 28 students. The method used in this research was quantitative method by using pre-test and post-test design. The instrument used in collecting the data is oral test and it is analyze by using t-test. The result of this research shows using word olympic game in improving students' English word spelling ability. The criteria used to verify the hypothesis is accepted H1 if tcount > tlist. Based on my analysis of this research, the researcher found that tcount is bigger than tlist (11,5941,70) with the level significance = 0,05. It means that the hypothesis is acceptable. In other word, word olympic game can improve students' English word spelling ability. This game can help the students' to learn English. Key words: Word Olympic Game(WOG), Word Spelling Ability.
