This research expounds an analysis of slang in "Transformer: age of extinction" movie. The objectives of this research are; first, to identify and categorize the types of slang based on Eric Patridge theory, Second, to explain literal and contextual meaning of the types of slang found in the movie. Subject of this research is focused on scripts of "Transformer: age of extinction" movie. Technique of analyzing data in this research are; first, identifying slang and putting them into table, then categorizing the slang based on the types of slang, then, explaining the context based on sosiolinguistic aspects such as the speaker, participant, setting and topic, after that, analyzing literal and contextual meaning and the last making conclusion. The result of this research are 22 data that have been categorized as public house slang (10 data), workmen's slang (2 data), society slang (9 data), slang in art (Datum).This research uses qualitative research method. Consequently, this research is expected to help the reader to gain the knowledge about slang language through this research.
