This study aims to find out the factors caused the decreasing of students' interest in learning English. This study was designed by using qualitative method. The participant of this research were reffered to the students' at second grade in SMA Negeri 1 Tolangohula. However, the researcher just took 25 students as a sample of research. The techniques of collecting the data were observation and interview. Observation was the main instrument of this research while the interviews were only the additional instrument. Observation was conducted in two meetings. Thus, the students were interviewed in order to find out the information of factors caused the decreasing of students' interest in learning English. The techniques of analyzing the data were started from reducing the data, displaying the data, and concluding the data. The finding of this study showed that there are three factors that caused the decreasing of students' interest in learning English. Those are motivation, teacher and media. In motivation factors showed that the teacher did not motivate the students in learning English. Moreover, in teacher factor showed that the teacher is too lazy and have not creativity in teaching and learning process. And in media factor showed that the teacher has not provided a learning media to make the students interest in teaching English process because there are limited facilities provided by school.
