Abstract
ABSTRACT Hasiru, R, Dilfifi. 2015. "Enriching students' vocabulary through action songs technique (Research conducted at fifth grade of SDN 1 Bulango Selatan)". English Study Program, English Department, Faculty of Letter and Culture. Supervisors: (1) Prof. Dr. Kartin Lihawa, M.Pd, (2) Indri Wirahmi Bay, S.Pd, M.A This study aims to find out whether or not the use of Action Songs technique can enrich the students' vocabulary mastery of them who study in SDN 1 Bulango Selatan. This covers the discussion on some theoretical reasons of using action songs in the English classes. This research applies a quantitative method that consists on the data gained and the quantification of variables. The primary data is all students of fifth grade on SDN 1 Bulango Selatan. This research uses observation to find out that action songs is one technique can enrich students' vocabulary about English. This research is using pre-experimental design which focused on one group pre - test and one group post - test. Based on this research, the result of the data showed that the students' vocabulary at fifth grade of SDN 1 Bulango Selatan has enrich based on the significant data both of the pre - test and post - test. In addition, based on the result of this research is suggested to the teacher ought to use the action songs technique at Elementary School. It is because the level of difficulty is suitable with the elementary school. It makes all of students can participate in the class and this stimulates their brain cells and also makes students feel comfortable in the class.
