Abstract
This study aims at describing the utilizing flashcard in teaching English to very young learners in Kids2Success course. the students problems at kids2Success are they cannot speak, read, and write or even pronounce the alphabet. it is because the age three to five years old still too young to study. they more likely play than study. this report is based on the direct instruction procedures of flashcards when teaching English. the participants were eight children on Pre-Runners class, the age three to five years old in Kids2Success course. Result showed that the flashcard believes improved the students' skills for each subject area (sounds, sight words, vocabulary, spelling, and memorization skill) through the steps of direct instruction procedures of flashcard. keyword : Teaching English, direct instruction procedures, flashcards, and very young learners.
