Abstract

The influences of apprehension impact on students' English learning achievement (This research conducted students at the XI grade of SMK Gotong Royong Telaga Academic year 2015). Skripsi. English Department, Letters and Culture Faculty, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Principal advisor, Karmila Machmud, M.A., Ph.D and Sri Rumiyatiningsih Luwiti, S.Pd., M.Pd. The aim of this research is to find out influences of apprehension impact on students' English achievement. The sample of this research is 20 students of XI grade of Multifarious Livestock at SMK Gotong Royong Telaga 2015 academic year with involving 20 students. The sample is taken by using cluster sampling technique. The method of this research is quantitative method. Collecting the data of this research is questionnaire of Likers' scale for measurement of students' apprehension and students' English report. The data analyzed uses formula of significant correlation analysis. The result of the correlation between students' apprehension and students' achievement is r = -0.63, with contribution of variable independent (apprehension impact) towards variable dependent (students' achievement) is 39.57% as coefficient correlation (r2). It means that there is negative correlation between students' apprehension and achievement. In addition, the significant level is -4.552. It can be concluded that Ho refused and Ha received which is a significant influencing of apprehension impact towards students' achievement. Keyword: Influence, apprehension, achievement.
