The Contribution of Students' Collocation Mastery towards Responsive Writing Performances (Research Conducted on the 5th Semester Students of English Department in Academic Year of 2015/2016). Collocation is considered as the words which are located or found together in patterns of speech and writing. This quantitative research is designed to find out to what extent the contribution of collocation mastery towards responsive writing performances. The design of this research is correlation research that used correlation analysis and simple linier regression analysis. For this purpose, 30 students of English Department, 5th semester, were selected as the participants of the research. The data of this research derived from two sources, they are: collocation test and responsive writing performance test. The result of this research figures out that there is a significant contribution of collocation mastery towards responsive writing performances. It is proved through the correlation between collocation mastery and responsive writing performance is + 0.679 and the contribution value is + 0.462. In fact, collocation mastery could play significant role to responsive writing performances. Keywords: Collocation Mastery, Responsive Writing Performances
