Advisor (1) Novi Rusnarty Usu, S.Pd., M.A, (2) Farid Muhamad, S.Pd., M.A. The study exposed how the author's life influences the development of Beatrice Prior as the main character in Divergent Novel. The purpose of this study was to analyze the main character of Divergent Novel, to find and to describe does the author's life influence the main character in her literary work. The researcher used Divergent Novel by Veronica Roth as the object of the research, and the analyses of the data reveal that the Divergent novel seems to author's experience. The researcher find that in Divergent Novel the author's try to tells about her story, because the researcher finding the data of the author's biographical.
