Advisor (1) Titian F. Muhammad, S.Pd., M.App.Ling (2) Yusna Bantulu, S.Pd.,MA. The aim of this study is to find out 8th semester students' interpretation skill through reading two informative texts. The first informative text is "LGBT: What does it really mean?" and the second is "New planet is largest discovered that orbits two suns". To calculate the students' interpretation score, this study used quantitative method. Further, after getting the score, this study explaining the students' interpretation used qualitative method. As a result, 8th semester students' interpretation skill is categorized in fair level which the average of the first text is 50,56 and the second text is 41,67. Additionally, this study noticed students have better interpretation in the first text than in the second text. Key words: Interpretation, informative text
