English Department, Faculty of Letters and Culture, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The first advisor is Rahman T. Dr. Dako, S.S, M.Hum and second advisor is Fahria Malabar, S.Pd., M.A. The present research investigated the students perception towards the using of teachers code mixing in their English learning classroom. Perception relates to one's perspective on a certain object in different ways by using the sense tools that are owned. In addition, the indicators observed was using the theory ofBimoWalgito (1990, p. 54-55) which are divided into absorption, uunderstanding, and evaluation. This research applied qualitative method where conducted at the English Department students ofGorontalo State University of class A as the participant that consisted of 24 students. As the result, the researcher found that use of code switching by the teacher in the classroom made the students easy in understanding the material given, improve students knowledge of the material, made the students easy in responding the material and interested in learning, easy in finding main information in the learning process, the instruction also was easy to be understood and applied by the students, it was also prepare the students into good value of learning, and may indicate the students ability in using English, also can be the measurement of students learning values.
