Abstract
ABSTRACT
Sintiya Dewi Djunubi. 321 412 120. 2018. "Students' Perception on the Use of Discussion Method in Learning Process" Skripsi. English Department, Faculty of Letters and Culture, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The first advisor is Sri Rumiyatiningsih Luwiti, S.Pd, M.Pd and second advisor is Helena Badu, S.Pd, M.Pd.
This research is aimed to find out the students' perception on the use of discussion method in learning process in the sixth semester at English Department that focus in 4 subjects namely Psycholinguistics, Semantics and Phragmatics, Profesi Pendidikan and Assessment II. Regarding to the research method, the researcher used mixed method.The sample were 30 students that took 25% from 120 of students in the sixth semester at English Department. In collecting the data, the researcher used triangulation technique namely combine of questionnaire, interview and documentation. As the result, the researcher found that students' perception on the preparation of discussion in Very Good category as big as 78,61%, students' perception on the applying of discussion in Very Good category as big as 80,05%, students' perception on the closing of discussion in Good category as big as 70,42%.
