Deys. Bau, 2018. 321 412 138. Increasing Students' Listening Ability through Picture Dictation Method. This research was conducted at the eight students of SMP Negeri 2 BatudaaPantai. Skripsi. The research aimed to find out whether or not the picture dictation method can increase students' listening ability. The sample was class VIII2in SMP Negeri 2 Batudaa Pantai which consisted of 20 students. This research used quantitative methodby applying pre-test and post-test design. This research focused on applying picture dictation method to increase the students' listening ability. The result of this research showed that, in pre-test data, the students' lowest score was 17 and the highest score was 26, while in post-test data the students' lowest score was 22 and the highest score was 30. Hence,the hypothesis of researcher was accepted because the result of T-test, it found that -10, 06 â 2, 08, where the tcount is smaller than ttable.Therefore, it can be concluded that using picture dictation method can increase students' listening ability.
