English Education Study Program, Letters and Culture Faculty, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. It was supervised by Prof. Dr. Hj. Moon Hidayati Otoluwa, M.Hum and Novi Rusnarty Usu, S.Pd., M.A. This study aims to analyze and to describe the inequality in education and domestic violence which experienced by Erin Tierney in Nicholas Sparks's novel Safe Haven with liberal feminist theory as the approach. Safe Haven is the main source of data and has been published in 2010. This research uses qualitative research as the method of research. The data is collected from the dialect of writing in the Safe Haven and gathered from the plot when Erin interacts with her father and her husband. The result of this study concludes that in Safe Haven inequality in education restricts Erin from experience her rights. As the result of the lack of opportunity in education, domestic violence enters Erin's life. Erin experience 5 types of domestic abuse simultaneously. They are physical abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, financial abuse, and psychological abuse. Keywords: Education, Domestic Violence, Feminism, Liberty, Safe Haven, Women
