Haryati Basara, 2020. An Analysis Of Figure of Speech in Christina Rossetti's Poems. English Department, Faculty of Letters and Culture, State University of Gorontalo. Advisor (1) Dr. Mery Balango, M.Hum (2) Farid Muhamad, S.Pd., MA. This research aimed to find out the figure of speech used in Christina Rossetti's selected poems. This study was designed to follow the principles of qualitative method because it is related to the object of research. In analyzing the data the writer analyzed every figure of speech that found in the poems, and the last drawing conclusion based on the result of data analysis. The result of this research found some figure of speech in Christina Rossetti's selected poems uses personification, Metaphor, Hyperbole, Simile, Anaphora, Symbolism and Association. Lastly, the dominant figure of speech that Christina Rossetti's used in her poem is simile. Simile found in a poems A Christmas Carol, A Birthday and Song.
