Advisor (1) Novi Rusnarty Usu, S.Pd., MA (2) Indri Wirahmi Bay, S.Pd., MA The purpose of this study was to investigate the types of students' learning resources on English speaking ability. This study applies the theory of learning resources propounded by AECT (Association of Education and communication of Technology). The objectives of this research was to observe which learning resources that the English Education students are exposed to. Data was analysed using a qualitative method and a descriptive research design is used in this research. Then, to collect data, this research used interview and questionnaire. Furthermore, some English Education students who have highest and lowest score in English speaking ability were invited to participate voluntarily. Thus, the analysis found that there are eight learning resources that students used in improving their English speaking skill. Keywords: Learning resources, speaking skill
