Fairy tales has become an extremely popular phenomenon since many films or even children movies was adopted from that literary genre. Brothers Grimm is the most famous authors of the most famous fairy tales offer a series of the stories that explore both of protagonist and antagonist characters are having similar psyhological problem, that is anxiety. They feel fear and anxious of each other existences. This present study aims to find out how the anxiety disorder of the protagonist and the antagonist characters, and the extent of anxiety disorder shaping the stories of five Brothers Grimm's fairy tales. This study is a qualitative study that collects the primary data from the text of five Brothers Grimm's fairy tales, there are Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast, Mother Hulda, and Sweetheart Roland. Feeling of anxiety, fear, worry, struggle and ultimately a framework of family, forgiveness, and love are shaping those five stories of Brothers Grimm. Those fairy tales are the pictures of a multi-faceted understanding of today's world. While a place full of frailties, failures, and unfair treatments, these stories teach that people have to struggle first before they find their own happy ending.
